What medications do you have at home? Would you know if some were missing? Limit access to these drugs and keep your home safe by properly disposing of unused and outdated medicines at our free monthly collection.
Bring your un-used and outdated prescriptions and other medications to the Platte River Mall (inside the Main Entrance) on the third Saturday of every month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (No needles, please.) The medications are turned over to the Nebraska State Patrol who destroys them in an environmentally friendly manner. In partnership with Keep North Platte Lincoln County Beautiful the bottles and other packaging are recycled.
Our drug collections have been a huge success thanks to outstanding community support and collaboration. Since October 2009, residents of Lincoln County have been bringing their unused and outdated prescription drugs to our collection site to be disposed of responsibly. This says a lot about our community's commitment to do the right thing and be proactive in the fight against prescription drug abuse.
