Read MoreCommunity Connections held its first “Thank Your Mentor” breakfast at the Great Plains Health conference room on January 24th, 2020 to honor our volunteers. Special recognition was given to Steven Heinzle and Kent Elmshaueser. Steven has spent 20 years mentoring for Community Connections and has been matched with 8 mentees in that time. Kent spent 273 hours mentoring 2 young men in 2019. A key note message was given by Mentor Nebraska to recognize the importance of youth mentoring across the state of Nebraska. Food was provided by Great Plains Health, NebraskaLand National Bank, and the Community Connections Board of Directors and staff.
